AWARD-WINNING TASMANIAN OYSTERS

Tarkine Fresh Oysters was founded in 2017 by Jonathon Poke after growing oysters for 40 years in Duck Bay Tasmania. Jon’s passion was to provide customers with “fresh on the day” harvested and shucked oysters.

In 2020 Tarkine Fresh Oysters joined the Tasmanian Oyster Company, with the focus to continue Jon’s passion for providing the freshest and most premium oysters possible.

 
 

The concept of Tarkine Fresh Oysters since its creation has been to grow the best oyster possible; the highest meat to shell ratio, consistency, and an oyster that travels well on its way to market. Our café and retail store is purely for the enjoyment of meeting tourists and locals and providing you with the freshest oysters you’ve ever had. (Jon Poke 2017)
